  1. What a wonderful way to recap 2014. I really enjoyed the nice mixture of photos, music, musicians, family photos, politicians and of course ending on a quote from Leonard Cohen. (I may have to steal this idea for 2015.)

    • Thank you, Gary. All the best to you in your new year also. You have a new Green and Gold roster to consider this year. The season will be here before we know it.

  4. This may be a collection of impressions of the last year, Bruce… but it seems to reflect the fabric of life… going much further back. Enjoyed both the pictures, and the accompanying music. Thanks and good wishes for the new year.

    • Once I relaxed about the challenges inherent in learning MS Windows 8.1, I enjoyed making the 2014 video. It was a bit laborious, but overall fun to make. Happy 2015 to you Crystal.

  6. Loved this! I’m looking forward to reading your blog in 2015 🙂 I would like to create something similar to your recap with poetry, but I don’t know how. Maybe you can post a how to article?

    • Hi Laine – thank you. Are you asking about how to make the video, which in your case would include your amazing poetry? I’m a novice. I’ve done it two times – both for Ram On posts. I used Windows Movie Maker software, which makes it fairly easy. From there, I added it to the WordPress media library and embedded into the blog.

      • Yes, that is what I’m wondering. I have Movie Maker, but have never used it – now a goal for 2015. Do you need any other conversion software to load into the media library?

    • Laine – once you complete your movie, it will load to the WP media library and then you will insert it into your blog post draft as an embedded item. I think that once you start, the steps will be apparent. Try it.

  9. Bruce, did you do this last year, too?
It’s such a great idea, and is so representative of you … baseball, politics, your beloved vehicle, and music (and family and traffic and books and history and thoughtful writing). And Paul!!!
I’m excited for spending this next year on WP with you.
Oh by the way … I’ve decided to run for State Delegate.
(like the way I just slipped that in there?)

    • Hi Laurie – this was the first video recap here on Ram On. I think it will now be an annual entry. Yes, Paul. I have kept his advice in mind for years now and will perhaps execute on it someday.

You did not mention that you are running for State Delegate. How ambitious. Get to that convention floor and make a change, my friend!

    • Thank you. And yes, I like all of that music and have listened to it many times. Many, many times if you add it all up.
